Another exciting year at Seishou Music Academy begins with the entrance of a new generation of talented girls. The 99th graduating class is already preparing for the highly anticipated production of Starlight, a melancholy narrative about the separation of two girls. Except for the cheery Karen Aijou, it appears that all students in the Actor Training Department have their post-graduation plans sorted out. Karen struggles to find her purpose after fulfilling her vow to appear in a play with Hikari Kagura, her ambitious childhood friend. Karen had no idea what lies beyond their commitment, as Hikari was the gasoline that kept her enthusiasm for performing alive. Karen is now on her own, and she must confront the realities of stage girls while still navigating her way toward the future—her very own stage.
